One of the funniest books I've ever read
A Satirical Trojan Horse!!!
Simply GREAT !

A wonderful book.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST BIOGRAPHY
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

The Demise of an Empire"Empire" traces the rise and tragic fall of Howard Hughes; a man who wore many hats, he was an aviator, Hollywood movie producer, Las Vegas hotel/casino owner ... and a recluse. For one brief shining moment, Hughes was considered one of America's premier aviators, breaking flying records, but then falling out of grace with government and the aviation industry for breaking contract deadlines. In the long run, Howard Hughes would become a grand failure in the world of big business.
Bartlett and Steel show the reader a man who had everything to live for, good looks, fame, fortune, power and prestige, but he was unable to triumph over his social and physical phobias that led to psychological, emotional, and physical illnesses and to his final descent into the dwellings of the insane. Hughes' deep mistrust of all people-even family, worked against him and led to his demise and the lose of his billion dollar empire by the very people whose job it was to safeguard him and his empire.
By the time I finished reading "Empire: The Life, Legend, and Madness of Howard Hughes", I was much more accepting of my status as a non wealthy individual. Although Howard Hughes had everything a man could possibly wish for, he was underprivileged in peace of mind.... The authors do a superb job in separating fact from myth in the life of Howard Hughes. The book is worth reading.
The best book on Howard Hughes

Encyclopedic!Film historian and authority James Robert Parish has done it again! "The Encyclopedia of Ethnic Groups in Hollywood," like all of Mr. Parish's well-regarded books, is comprehensive, thoroughly accurate and immensely readable. The sheer research is astounding and Mr. Parish uncovers the many fascinating tidbits that enliven film history. This is a book that is a must not only for every film and media library, but also for the general reader and film fan who wants is interested in the careers, lives and place in film history of the many ethnic stars who have thrilled us on screen. Bravo.

Here is an "ABOUT TIME!" book

The title has triple meaning
Great Book, very informative.I recommend this book for anyone interested in magnets at all. Very much worth the money!
Great Book; Educational, Interesting and FunOne of the most interesting chapters in this book explained the connection between magnets and Einstein's theory of relativity. This is explained very simply and easy to understand and even has a one page cartoon to illustrate this.
Also explains dozens of applications of magnets in our lives, our homes, our cars, our hospitals, our defense systems etc. I thought I was pretty aware of most applications of magnets and magetism but this book was a real and amazing eye opener.
Read it and enjoy it!

Wonderfully Moving

A Woman¿s Spirit Quest is Told with Humor and Understanding

Almost Complete
A Laypersons Guide to PrescriptionsEspecially useful are the details on drug interations, including herbal medications (e.g. don't take St. Johns Wort with birth control pills) and common foods (e.g. some drugs do not mix will with grapefruit). Long also lists medical conditions that do not mix well with drugs (e.g. diabetes) as well as the risks of smoking and taking a certain drug, or the possible effects of the drug on pregnancy (very complete information here).
Even if you only take one or two Prescription drugs this is a good book to own, your health is worth it. Also, you can look up friends and relatives drugs and find out what they are taking them for, as well as possible side effects or harmful interactions. This would be a good gift for an elderly parent or friend.
Absolutely the best!

Another great oneMy biggest complaint about "The False House" is that it has almost exactly the same plot as "The High House". The Society of Anarchists has once again stolen some magic object from Evenmere. In this case, it's the cornerstone from underneath Innman Tor, and they plan to use it to build a new house in the outer darkness, an empty wasteland that lies beyond the borders of the high house. Once again, Carter Anderson must go marching off to bring it back in order to protect Evenmere and all of creation from evil. I would have hoped for a little bit of variation, but the sequence of events proceeds with remarkable predictability.
Other than that, there aren't any really glaring flaws in "The False House". The cast of characters remains strong. Stoddard brings back all the important people from "The High House" and also adds some colorful newcomers, although none of them have a background quite as original as Enoch and Chant. As one other reviewer mentioned, there are a couple of female characters who are positively displayed in this volume, which corrects one minor annoyance from the previous work. There are also a few of Stoddard's amazing visual descriptions of rooms and other locations, although not as many as there were in "The High House". All in all, a solid and entertaining read, though slightly inferior to the original.
Stoddard is today's Tolkein!
A great sequel to a great first novel!

A Book Even a Mother Could Love...Just describing this recipe to my boyfriends' mother, she made it that same week and her teenage son's friends ate all of it. If young people will eat it, it has to be good...right?
